If you look back to 1993 when the athletes were one dimensional and for the most part only mildly talented in comparison to today’s stars. How many of the old school champions would be able to hold belts these days?
Being that this is an MMA blog I will write from that perspective, but I feel that the issue can be crossed over to any area of life and any person. Mental health definitely doesn’t discriminate.
MMA, BJJ, Boxing, Muay Thai, they all have a crazy amount of belts. Every organisation and sanctioning body has a champion, we have state champions, regional champions, national champions, European champions, world champions and many more in between that I’m sure I’ve missed. Is it becoming a bit of a joke?
March 2nd saw the debut of Eternal MMA at its new Perth home, the HBF Stadium. 1500 people packed into the beautiful arena for a massive 20 fight card. All fights were super evenly matched, pat on the back to the matchmakers, and the crowd was treated to a quality night of Australian MMA.
