Bellator is seeking a new opponent for recent signee Valerie Loureda after the first was denied.
Loureda, who will be making her professional MMA debut, was originally scheduled to fight 0-12 amateur fighter Anastasia Bruce. However, that match-up was pulled by Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports (ABC) president Mike Mazzulli. The news was first reported by Eric Kowal of MyMMANews.
Loureda, 20, is a Taekwondo master and model who was recently signed by the promotion. She trains out of American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, and boasts a 2-1 amateur MMA record.
Loureda is set to remain on the Bellator 215 card as officials seek a new opponent.
Bellator 215 will be held at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, on February 16 (AU).
