Damien Brown will make his second appearance for Rizin Fight Federation against an undefeated Japanese prospect.
EMG has confirmed the Australian will face Koji Takeda in a lightweight bout at Rizin 15 on April 21.
Brown (18-12) snapped a three-fight skid with a first-round submission of Daron Cruickshank in his Rizin debut on New Year’s Eve. The former XFC and BRACE champion will seek back-to-back wins against the 23-year-old promotional newcomer.
Takeda (8-0) will be making his Rizin debut after predominantly competing in DEEP. In his last outing, he won a unanimous decision over Satoru Kitaoka at DEEP 86 Impact in October.
Rizin 15 takes place at Yokohama Arena, Japan, on April 21. The event will be headlined by Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal and Jiri Prochazka for the inaugural light heavyweight championship.
