UFC Milwaukee has its first female bout scheduled.
Flyweights Jessica-Rose “Jessy Jess” Clark and Andrea “KGB” Lee will go head-to-head at UFC on Fox 31 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 16 (AU), the UFC announced today.
Clark (9-5, 1 NC), currently ranked #9, is coming off a loss at UFC Singapore in June to Jessica Eye. Prior to that bout, she was on a three-fight win streak, including two UFC wins over Bec Rawlings and Paige VanZant.
In May, Lee (9-2) #13 made her promotional debut in UFC Santiago in May against Veronica Macedo where she won via unanimous decision. She now looks to extend her five-fight win streak over the Australian.
The female flyweight division will have its first anniversary in December. Still wide open, the two fighters will each have an opportunity to assert their case as a contender in the division with a big win to finish the year.
This will be Lee’s first bout since her husband and coach, Donny Aaron, was charged with domestic violence/battery and false imprisonment after an alleged incident involving Lee last month. Police issued a warrant for Aaron’s arrest but are yet to apprehend him as they have not been able to locate him.
UFC on Fox 31 will be held at the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 16 (AU). No main event has been scheduled for the event; however, lightweight contender Al Iaquinta told Ariel Helwani on Monday that he’d agreed to a fight with Kevin Lee on the card and was awaiting a response.
There are now five bouts scheduled for UFC on Fox 31:
- Jared Gordon vs. Joaquim Silva
- Dwight Grant vs. Erik Koch
- Bobby Green vs. Drakkar Klose
- Jack Hermansson vs. Gerald Meerschaert
- Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Andrea Lee
